Skinny
THEATRE | 7.30 - 8.30PM | ALCOA BIG TOP
Skinny - More than a word – it's a societal chokehold. For many, it's a lifelong battle with scales, shapewear, shakes and shifty surgeons. But it's time to say ENOUGH!In this empowering fusion of stunning vocals and comedy, multi-award-winning vocal power-house, Michelle Pearson, asks us to ditch the calorie counting and embrace our bodies for all they are. This raw, real and funny storytelling unpacks society's toxic obsession with being 'skinny', urging us to rethink what beauty truly means. Heartfelt, relatable and uplifting, it's a celebration of every shape, every size and every person who's looked in the mirror and wondered: is this slimming?
Skinny made its Off-Broadway debut in NY and performed across the UK in 2025, receiving widespread audience acclaim. Having presented SKINNY at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in 2024; the Adelaide Fringe in 2025, where Michelle was awarded Best Cabaret (weekly) and the recipient of the Mental Health Commissioner’s Staging Change Award, Skinny will make its Bunbury Fringe Festival debut in January accompanied by a four-piece cabaret band.
